“Netflix for Training” & Other QLD Government Covid Support

Initiatives subsidised by the Queensland Government to support Queenslanders through Training and Employment during the Covid pandemic.

In June 2020 the QLD Government announced it will partner with GO1 to provide free access to more than 400 online training courses to support Queenslanders during the Covid pandemic. GO1 is an online marketplace for training courses used by businesses and the general public on a subscription basis.

This is one of a number of initiatives subsidised by the Queensland Government to support Queenslanders through Training and Employment during the current pandemic.

Skills Focus Queensland training hub

If your employment has been impacted by Covid-19 and you are currently seeking work, you can access GO1’s training hub for free courses to assist in your job search and improve your skill set. Register your account here for access.

Queensland Small Business Skills Hub

If you have less than 20 employees and your business has been affected by Covid-19, you can access GO1’s training hub for free skills training for small business owners. Register your account here for access.

TAFE QLD Fully Funded Training

Free training for businesses and individuals to help manage trading and working in the current restricted trading environment, as well as skill set training to help build existing skills or retrain without having to commit to a full qualifications. Training areas include:

  • Covid Safe Training
  • Infection Control Skill Sets
  • Micro-credentials (Professional Development for career progression)
  • Online Skill Sets – industry recognised competencies to build skills or help retrain for future employment, in areas including:
    • Community Care
    • Health Service Support
    • Assist Clients with Medication
    • Basic Customer Engagement
    • Mentoring & Supervision
    • Mental Health Peer Work
    • Food Service
    • Farm Labourer
